On April 23, 2021, the China Family Planning Association (CFPA) announced the 2021 Youth Reproductive Health Program University List, and HENU’s Discussion on Youth Reproductive Health Work Mode under the Normalization of Epidemic Prevention and Control was approved as a Category A project. A total of 332 colleges and universities were listed, of which 142 were granted approval for Category A projects, and 5 are from Henan Province.

The Youth Reproductive Health Program was initiated by the CFPA and China Youth Network (CYN). It aims to meet the needs of young people in terms of sexual and reproductive health, provide young people with correct sexual and reproductive health knowledge, and help establish a responsible life attitude, as well as to further expand the coverage of youth reproductive health work in colleges and universities, cultivate a group of peer educators for youth reproductive health, gather a group of ideological, ethical, and dedicated youth volunteers for youth reproductive health to carry out adolescent sexual and reproductive health education services inside and outside the colleges and universities.

The Youth Reproductive Health Program of HENU is guided by the Family Planning Office of HENU, and implemented by the Youth Reproductive Health Education Volunteer Association of HENU in cooperation with the hospital, the Youth League Committee and the Student Office of HENU.
