On the afternoon of January 13, the major certification rectification and teaching work meeting of Henan Medical School (HMS) was held in the Meeting Room 536 of the Administrative Building of Jinming Campus. More than 20 persons, including Yan Jianqun, Honorary Dean of HMS, Ren Xuequn, Executive Vice Dean of HMS, Wang Ying, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of HMS, Li Qin, Vice Dean of HMS, Zhang Yijie, Dean of Huaihe Hospital and Dean of HMS, deputy deans in charge of various teaching and the director of the academic affairs offices of schools and affiliated hospitals, and related staff of HMS, attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Li Qin.
The meeting demonstrated the construction of the test question bank by purchasing, and discussed the Clinical Medicine Training Program, the Clinical Medicine Major Certification Rectification Plan, the Interim Regulations of HMS on Undergraduate Teaching Management (Draft for Soliciting Comments) and the Classroom Teaching Real-time Evaluation Questionnaire.
Yan Jianqun pointed out that the revision of the training plan is part of the major certification rectification work, and the training plan should fully reflect the new model of medical education and the development trend of medical education; the major certification rectification work must implement the spirit of the relevant documents, and be conducted based on expert opinions and suggestions. The rectification plan should clarify the major positioning and set the teaching goals reasonably; continue to promote the reform of the medical education management system; adjust the teaching mode of the clinical medicine major; strengthen and standardize the construction of medical education and teaching conditions; and strengthen the construction of medical disciplines, the construction of teacher teams, and the training of teachers.
Li Qin said that the units of HMS should cooperate with each other, actively change educational concepts through the major certification and rectification work, innovate teaching methods, improve teaching management, and strive to build a medical talent training model and training system that meets the actual situation of HMS, and improve the undergraduate teaching level and talent training quality of HMS.
Ren Xuequn emphasized that HMS must be undergraduate education oriented, speed up the construction of high-level undergraduate education and comprehensively improve talent training capabilities. He once again emphasized the importance of major certification to discipline construction and Double-Class university construction. He asked everyone to work together, implement key tasks, actively carry out clinical medicine major certification rectifications based on expert opinions, and ensure that all rectifications are implemented in place.
